Between Worlds

Between Worlds: a closer look at the experience of verbally interpreting languages. This project is based off of interviews with New York City interpreters. From UN interpreters to freelance professionals, the study takes a broad look at the profession to get a better understanding of the act of translating languages.

Being proficient in multiple languages, these professionals live between the worlds of language - constantly jumping back and forth, shuttling ideas across a linguistic barrier. Currently, the project is still gathering interviews - stay tuned.
